The Wilmette Waves, after 11 seasons as an American Legion baseball team, switched affiliation to AABC Connie Mack in 2011 and joined a new League- the Suburban Chicago Connie Mack Baseball League- consisting of the Waves and 5 other (now 7 other) area teams. All SCCMBL games are wood bat. Connie Mack baseball is the 18 and Under division of the American Amateur Baseball Congress (AABC, www.aabc.us ).
The Waves were co-founded in 2000 by General Manager Don Wallace and Head Coach Mike Napoleon. Since 2000, over 75 Waves players have gone on to play college baseball. Our alumni list is available on this website, as well as our team and individual records, past award winners, and our 2013 schedule. The Waves have a 13 year winning % of .669 and have had 13 consecutive over .500 seasons.
Since 2007, all Waves' players have been from New Trier High School (Winnetka, Illinois). Waves Head Coach Mike Napoleon is also head varsity baseball coach at NTHS and a 2001 inductee into the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
Waves' GM Don Wallace is a resident of Winnetka, a Managing Director of investment firm Robert W. Baird and Co. and serves as SCCMBL President.
